Puligny-Montrachet La Garenne

Puligny-Montrachet La Garenne
Côte de Beaune
Premier Cru
100% Chardonnay

Puligny Montrachet, situated to the south of Meursault and to the north of Chassagne Montrachet, shares with Chassagne a handful of the greatest white wine vineyards in the world. The Premier Cru vineyards of Puligny Montrachet, noted for the exceptionally high and consistent quality of the wines they produce, stretch across the upper half of Puligny's slope from Meursault to Chassagne.

« La Garenne » climate lies next to Puligny Champ Gain appellation near Blagny. Chalky soil of medium density. The domaine belongs to the de Magenta family. The vines are rather young.

Grapes are pressed and then aged in French oak barrels for about 15 months.

This wine is full and generous and at the same time elegant wine, with nice aromas of dry grass. This great white wine can accompany shellfish cooked in a court-bouillon, poached fish, poultry, liver pâtés, and cheese such as Comté.

This wine can easily age 10 to 15 years if it is kept in good conditions of humidity and temperature.
