Puligny-Montrachet Chalumaux

Puligny-Montrachet Chalumaux
Côte de Beaune
Premier Cru

The village of Puligny-Montrachet is located between Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault.

The Chalumaux Premier Cru is located to the north of the village, next to Meursault. To some extent it shows some similarities with the Champ Gain appellation. The soil is well drained, with clay and limestone, ideal for the Chardonnay grape.

This wine is aged during 18 months in French oak barrels.

This Premier Cru is elegant, full of minerality, even sometimes flinty. It may be nicely paired with grilled fish, white meat and cheese.

The aging potential is very interesting between 8 to 12 years and even more.
