Meursault Porusot

Meursault Porusot
Côte de Beaune
Premier Cru
100% Chardonnay

Meursault is the centre of the four villages (Meursault, Blagny, Chassagne and Puligny) at the heart of the Côte de Beaune known as the «Côte des Blancs», named for the quality and predominance of its white wines. The Porusots vineyard is situated close to Les Genevrières and Les Bouchères vineyard.

This 15-year old vineyard was bought by Maison Louis Jadot in 1996. The vineyards are spread over gentle slopes, between 230 and 360 metres above sea level. The eastern orientation is ideal, allowing maximum sunlight. The soil of Meursault Porusots is quite rich with a good typicity.

Fermentation takes place in tanks during 3-4 weeks, after which the wine is aged in oak barrel for 12-15 months before being bottled.

Maison Louis Jadot produces a rich full-bodied wine but not too fat. It is very aromatic when young and keep its strength all through its life. White fruits aromas, with grape pulp and a small acidity are main characteristics for this climate.

It can be cellared for 8 to 15 years in good conditions of temperature and humidity.
