Maison Louis Jadot

Côte de Nuits
Appellation Village
100% Pinot Noir grapes

Marsannay is the northernmost commune of the Côte d'Or, lying virtually on the outskirts of the city of Dijon, three miles north of Gevrey Chambertin.

In 1987, Marsannay was granted its own A.O.C. appellation and became the first village for which the appellation applies to red, white and rosé wines.

Fermented in wooden vats. The wines stayed for about 4 weeks in vats, before they were put into oak barrels for 15 months ageing before bottling.

Maison Louis Jadot produce a deep coloured Marsannay. The subtle bouquet is reminiscent of blackberries, prunes and blackcurrants, while ageing lends them a musky odour. The wines are usually tannic and very supple. It will be a perfect accompaniment to roast, grilled or braised red meat.

It will be able to age 8-12 years in perfect conditions of temperature and humidity.
