Beaune Aigrots

Beaune Aigrots
Côte de Beaune
Premier Cru
100% Pinot Noir

There are 36 Premiers Crus in the Beaune appellation which is located between Savigny-les-Beaune to the north and Pommard to the south.

The terroir of Beaune varies from the north to the south but the soils are mainly made of brown limestone with clay and some sand.

The grapes are destemmed and fermented in open vats during 3 to 4 weeks. This wine is then aged in oak barrels for about 18 months.

The color shows a nice ruby red, the nose is usually slightly oaky with some hints of spicies. Beaune Aigrots is always elegant and well-balanced. It is a good companion for meet and cheese as well as cold terrines and pâtés.

This wine can be drunk 5 years after vintage but can also be kept 15 years and more if it is stored in good conditions.
